Journalism for Seymour Hersh Influent - myassignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss about theJournalism for Seymour Hersh Influent. Answer: Discussion on how had journalist Seymour Hersh influent to media society As commented by Sweeney, (2014), Seymour Hersh worked as an investigative reporter and has uncovered important news stories. Exposing My Lai massacre and its cover-up during the Vietnam War has gained him great popularity in the area of journalism. His insight and courageous reform practices have encouraged many practicing professionals in the media society. His contribution towards the declining journalistic standards is easily viable. The coverage of the election of Bagdad was fawning. Seymour has also been found to speak against Obama, NSA and the pathetic American media. He has given ideas to improve the journalistic standard and has raised his voice against the timid behaviour of the media in the society. His unpopular words have always claimed to be harsh but these have never been claimed to be untrue. In his book where he wrote about the Obama administration and the killing of Osama, he claimed that the Obama government could go to any extent and can claim the stories to be true. However, he provoked the journalists to be more active in their respective roles and not to forget their actual duty as a reporter or a journalist (Sweeney, 2014). In fact, his supporting statement towards Snowden on providing documentary evidences that the other journalists could not provide also created a stir in the nation and among the journalist. He has greatly contributed towards fierce and courageous journalism and not to become a story teller in disguise of a journalist. The world can become better when there remains a hope of redemption among the journalists. References: Hersh, S. M. (2014). The red line and the rat line. The London Review of Books,17. Sweeney, M. S.
